Concealed from the street by mature hedges the residence is entered from a forecourt. A double height entry foyer leads to formal living spaces that open onto a park like garden. An elongated single level pavilion accommodates garaging to the east, and family living spaces to the west. A loggia connects to a pool, steam room and gym. The upper level of the house accommodates 6 bedrooms each with bathrooms. A basement level accommodates additional parking and service areas.
Based on a study of the terrain, we identified two striking visuals: the rear of the property, with a beautiful forest landscape; and the front of the lot, which offers an ample view of the setting sun with a field of orange trees in the background. The side views were not highly valued since neighboring lots will be occupied in the future.
The structure is built from steam bent timber elements, using traditional crafting techniques and analogue tools augmented with the precision of holographic guides. The elements were prefabricated and assembled following holographic construction information viewed in augmented reality through Microsoft Hololens. Not a single construction drawing was produced in this process, which aims to expand the understanding of automated craft and production in the augmented age.⠀
Grillicious is a Japanese style BBQ. restaurant located in central area of PATTAYA, Chonburi, Thailand. A brutalist tropical restaurant (building) is separated into 6 zones which consists of welcome space, main dining area, dining wing area, expansion space, dining courtyard and main kitchen.
Located on the slopes of Sydney’s Balmoral Beach, this three level residence has been designed to capture views to the harbour, with a singular approach to architecture, interiors, and landscape.
In February 2013 Quarry Associates and its Chinese registered Studio J.A.D.E. Ltd, established by the concept designer and original project Design Director for the Shimao Wonderland Intercontinental Hotel, Martin Jochman Dip Arch RIBA, signed contract with the developer Shimao to continue working on this project and to develop the design, coordinate the landscape and interiors and overview the construction on site. As the original concept designer in 2006, while working with ATKINS and then continuing his design work with his own studio JADE+QA, Martin has therefore been able to carry out this important and unique project from concept to completion for more than 12 years.

Future designs will gradually deemphasize the integration of Chinese and Western characteristics. Because it will be natural not to distinguish between one another in life, common ways of thinking will emerge between ourselves and homeowners who work abroad, resulting in an integrated “future contemporary” style; this style serves as the design concept for this home. By overlaying Eastern and Western paintings, we produced a completely new painting that is viewed as the inspiration for future cultural balance and mutual prosperity.
Nestled below Lion’s Head, this family home capitalises on spectacular views. The architecture draws strength from the concrete finish used to create monumental forms which contrast to the copper roof.
The design incorporates Bluestone tiles on both the interior and exterior of the house, a contemporary adaption of a material that was historically utilised in Victorian-era buildings. Being a natural and aged material immediately integrated the new build into its context, giving the feeling of a home that has been there for years and will be for many to come.
Jenkins Street is a juxtaposition in many ways. It flawlessly mixes private & intimate spaces with open plan living and the architecture provides contrast with new modern-contemporary meeting with old period-art deco. The dynamic of new and old, and diversity on a functional level as well as a visual level alludes to a home with a perceived split personality; made tranquil with the right balance of yin and yang.
Tianhong’s headquarters project locate in ShenzhenHouhai Central District, connecting with the Financial and Commercial Zone and Nanshan Neiwan Park, about 400 meters away from the subway line 2 Dengliang Station. The east side of the project is the central road and Houhai River, the south side is the substation, the north side is the green land, the northwest side is the planned public park. The building will be built into Tianhong’s headquarters office and the flagship store of Tianhong shopping mall Jun Shang department store.
Tetris House marks a uncommon incursion of studio mk27 in high ceilings. The project investigates an internal play of masses on vertical and horizontal empty spaces, within an envelope box.

The project is an exercise in restraint with a very straightforward goal: to create a simple, rational house that accentuates and amplifies the connection to the exterior – celebrating the unique lifestyle that Los Angeles provides.
In this prestigious and vibrant part of the city, there was once 2 very narrow houses that were in poor condition. They were exploited by an owner who would indiscriminately rent out individual rooms to students who desperately needed cheap accommodation. The units were minimally maintained, with little or no isolation, etc. Some units were in the basement.
